No Tyranny Tuesday 09/30/25 – Galoshes Edition?

Don’t worry, if we’re rained out we have some important homework for you.

We will gather at the Brier Creek corner on Tuesday, September 30, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., weather permitting. We’ve dodged raindrops before, but this time, please make sure you come prepared with appropriate rain gear.

Galoshes are also quite stylish, even if the name is silly; here’s a nice pair. I call them “full transparency” galoshes. You can see everything, just like we should be able to see everything in the Epstein files, but I digress.

Full transparency galoshes for rainy day women 12 and 35 and all of them in between.

If rainy weather is not your thing, here’s an extremely important alternate action that you can take. Start by downloading the Five Calls app to your smartphone (or go to the Five Calls site). The Five Calls site provides details on a bill pending in the North Carolina Legislature, H.B. 958. It is yet another effort on the part of Republican legislators in the state to limit voting rights. You can get the full story here: Protect Voter Privacy and Voting Rights.

The sponsors of the H.B. 958 are listed below. You can click on each name for phone number and email address. Let’s ring up these folks and tell them to keep their hands off our voting rights, and stop stealing our votes! That’s a great way to make use of a rainy day!

Meanwhile, K K K Karoline Leavitt is on the case of the stalled elevator at the United Nations. She appeared on Fox News and stated, with a straight face, that “UN globalist staffers” had plotted to sabotage the elevator used by POTUS during his visit. I’m relieved that she is exhibiting keen investigative skills, since she is probably the next Director of the FBI. Why isn’t she home taking care of her baby?

Here’s the boilerplate:

LOCATION: Public right of way, NE corner Glenwood & Brier Creek Pkwy (near Starbucks, Red Robin, in Walmart shopping center). We’ll be on the elevated grassy area along Glenwood, away from the traffic, and along the sidewalk on Brier Creek Parkway.

PARKING: Park in the adjacent shopping center parking lots but please spread out so we don’t take all the spaces nearest these businesses. They have been very tolerant of our presence; let’s keep it that way.

SIGNS: The grassy knoll area along Glenwood is elevated and safely away from traffic, giving us great visibility along and across the intersection. Don’t have a sign? We have a bunch to share!

BE KIND: This is a peaceful, non-violent demonstration, of course. That extends to avoiding any negative interactions with passers-by. Any rude gestures or angry words should be met with a smile and a wave – and never returned in kind.

  1. I love that you came up with the name “KKKKaroline Leavitt. Shouldn’t she be home taking care of her baby?” Keep up the great work, Maureen!
